The Phestival is a fun-filled autograph and auction party for all ages which is held annually with the goal to strike out ALS, the devastating neuromuscular condition for which there is no known cause or cure. A total of $656,500 was raised at this year's Phillies Phestival. Thousands of fans attended the charity event at Citizens Bank Park, with monies raised to provide much-needed research, patient care and services for ALS patients in the Greater Philadelphia area. Since the Phillies adopted ALS as their primary charity in 1984, nearly $17.7 million has been raised for the fight against the disease 5-9-20175-7-20175-5-20174-25-2017![]() vs Marlins Section 139 Game postponed due to weather 4-23-2017vs Braves Section 141 4-7-2017![]() vs Nationals Section 132 We didn't get to stay at the game. The flowers were really pretty and I liked how some of them were cooly shaped. It was pretty cool to see the Du Pont stuff too. They have really nice land and the house was cool. The colors were extremely pretty and the food was really good. I thought the treehouse was really cool. The meadow was huge though. I thought people got lost in there. We did. I loved it. I even saw my first Blue Jay which was super cool. I did find it funny people chose to wear heels. Their feet were probably killing them after. This place is definitely worth going. The lights are worth it. Nightscape at Longwood Gardens
A Light and Sound Experience by Klip Collective Now–October 29 (Wednesday through Saturday evenings) Don’t be left in the dark...experience our nighttime adventure featuring light, sound, and projection before its final season comes to a close. There's a giant hole in a small town in New Jersey. At the bottom of that hole, in a green, soupy sand, is a door to a world ruled by reptiles. It was the end of the age of dinosaurs, and the corner of North America now called Mantua Township, New Jersey was ten miles offshore, under the Atlantic ocean. Mosasaurs dominated the sea, and sharks, rays, ammonites, turtles and fish swam through their shadows. The green sand was alive with clams, snails, crustaceans, and a whole menu of animals that would look at home on any seafood platter today – except that every species found here is long extinct. Maymay had the opportunity to visit and become a paleontologist for a day during the Dinosaur Dig event. She found petrified wood, ancient clams, coral, and a huge piece of iron ore. Overall, she had a fantastic time learning and exploring!
Maymay was excited to take the self guided Night at the Museum tour at The American Museum of Natural History. Yes, she brought gumgum for dumdum.
Last game of the season 4/9/2017 vs Hurricanes Score Section 213 4/1/2017 vs Devils Score: Flyers 3 - Devils 0 Section 201 3/30/2017 vs Islanders Score: Flyers 6 - Islanders 3 Section 212 Tonight was Autism Awareness at the Flyers game. What a terrific game, and we couldn't ask for a better crowd! We brought friends for their first Flyers game, and had the absolute best time! Tonight was perfect. 3/2/17 vs Florida Panthers Score: Flyers 2 - Panthers 1 Section 210a Sadly, this was a very rowdy crowd. We had to move twice, and I paid to change my seats. We finally gave up and left at the end of the second period. 2/28/17 vs Colorado Avalanche Score: Flyers 4 - Avalanche 0 Section: 211 10/27/16 vs Arizona Coyotes Score: Flyers 4 - Coyotes 5 Section: 210 Before the game started the Flyers celebrated Heritage Night. They had Hall of Fame players and their family which I thought was really cool. I liked watching the game except I'm a little sad we lost. The chants were funny but mean. Calling people names isn't nice. I really hated the refs. They gave a point to the Coyotes that they didn't deserve. It was unfair. Their players were mean. They were pushing our players. Whatever happened to play nice or don't play at all? The food was really good. I ate a hot dog and Chickie and Pete's crab fries. They are delicious. I really do like watching the game I just hope next time we win and the refs play fair. 9/27/16
Pre-Season game vs New York Islanders Score: Flyers 4 - Islanders 0 Section: 102 This was my first ever Flyers game. I had so much fun. It was cool that we won too. It was kind of exciting. I think it's cool they have cheerleaders for hockey. I didn't even know that was a thing. Everybody was really nice. The food people, the Toyota guy who had the bean bag toss game, and people in the crowd. I like friendly people. It makes the experience more fun. They have good hot dogs too. I would definitely like to go again. Go Flyers!!!! 9/18/16 Phillies 4 ~ Marlins 5 Section 130 The Phillies didn't win but I still had fun. When we came in they gave me a cool shirt. It is too big to wear but I will sleep in it. I forgot my pen at home so I got a new Phillies pen at the Hometown stand. I ate a hot dog that was good and crab fries from Chickie and Pete's that were very good. I bought Cracker Jacks from the singing lady. She is my second favorite. My favorite is still the Phanatic. I didn't get to wave at him today, but I left him a note at the Guest Services stand. There were two homeruns so I got to see the bell ring twice. The people sitting behind us were friendly. She liked to yell at the players when they made a mistake. We lost so there were a lot of mistakes. 8/12/2016 Phillies10 ~ Rockies 6 Section 131 Before the game started there was a ceremony for the Wall of Fame. It was cool. Jim Thome became the 38th Phillies player to get the honor. The Phillies won the game and that made it extra fun. I ate crab fries from Chickie and Pete's, a hot dog, and a mango water ice. I waved at the Phanatic but he didn't see me. It was still a fun game. 8/2/2016 Phillies 13 ~ Giants 6 Section 326 The Phillies won and it was a fun game. I wasn't happy that we didn't sit in my favorite section. I ate crab fries and there were homeruns so I got to see the bell ring. I didn't get to see the Phanatic at all. I think we were too high up for him to see us. 6/17/2016 Phillies 2 ~ Diamonbacks 10 Section 130 The Phillies lost but I had fun at the game. It was cold so I had to wear a hat and jacket. I waved at the Phanatic and he waved back! I love him. I ate crab fries and had a water ice even though I was cold. We sat in my favorite section and everyone around us was friendly. I had a great time. 6/4/2016
Phillies 1 ~ Brewers 4 Section 130 My first game of the season and the Phillies lost. Not a good way to start the season but I know they will do better. I got to sit by friendly people. We walked around and met some really cool fans. I ate hotdogs and crab fries. I got to see the singing peanut lady. She is a good singer and can throw the peanuts far. I waved at the Phanatic and he waved back. He is the best. It was a super fun day and I'm glad I got to go. I just woke up and made myself a cup of much needed coffee. Maymay immediately asked me if we can go to the Eagles game to watch the cheerleaders. I explained we cannot afford to go to the game. I didn't make plans and we can't possibly find tickets the morning of the game. I was pretty satisfied my answers made sense since she stopped asking. A few minutes later... Maymay: I think we can take the train over. Me: Over where? Maymay: To the Eagles game. I found tickets and I like a couple of places for food. Me: Um...I can't afford the tickets. Maymay: We need to leave soon. I'm gonna take my bath. Me: ... So, we went to the Eagles game. She was pretty disappointed she didn't get to get a picture with a cheerleader, but overall had a good time. I got to see football, and she happily watched her cheerleaders perform. Maymay's observations from the day:
Sunday I went to an Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field. I was really excited to go. It started out rough with the parking. They were mean people and sending people all over the place. The game was awesome though. My favorite is the cheerleaders. I want to be one. I liked the people we were sitting next to. They were really nice. I like sitting next to nice people. Games are not fun with rude people. The thing that made the game better was that the Eagles won. I had an awesome time and was happy I went. The food at the stadium was really good too. I never heard of a picnic burger but it was tasty. Pulled pork, burger, and cole slaw is actually good together. Weird but good. I liked the game too. At one point I was confused on why they tried to run the ball when they should have kicked the ball. The other teamed played well but I still liked that Eagles won. That doesn't usually happen when I go to games. Some of the people at the food stands were really nice too. Especially the guy who was selling Rita's. He had so many people and was able to manage them all really well. He has some awesome business skills. They also had fun music which made it fun to dance too. I thought the Air Force jets flying over us were really cool. They look cool when they fly over your head. Even cooler with the fireworks going off. Everything was just awesome and I think it would be fun to go back. I really enjoyed myself. I had fun with my mom at the game.
