11pm and I'm lost in Philly

I scored free movie passes to the movie Safe Haven, so after work and many meetings, Maymay and I set off on our adventure.

We got to the movie theater with no problem.  It was only misting out, so even though I forgot an umbrella we didn't get soaked while waiting on line.  I knew it was going to be a good night when everyone was uber friendly and kind.  We got in, sat down and that's when the dread set in.  I was sitting next to the most racist, evil spewing elder witch I've ever seen.  After 20 minutes of hearing nothing but vile, I ventured out to ask if we could find seats ANYWHERE else.  The insanely kind security guy said we could move to the back of the theater.  I grabbed Maymay and as we went to our new row, the two guys that were there were instantly friendly and welcoming!  HUGE difference.  Yea!  In my brain confetti cannons were exploding.  I already posted my review of the movie, so I'm not going to rehash it here.

So, after the movie it was time for the Q&A session.  Security was running around telling people to put away their phones.  I asked one guard if I could take a picture with my camera.  He laughed that I had an actual camera (SERIOUSLY??) but told me no.  The insanely kind young man next to me leaned over and asked me if I wanted Maymay to meet the stars I needed to go speak to his friends that were standing on the side.  hmmm.....  That wasn't what I was trying to do, but figured I could ask about a picture.  I went over and they were so friendly!!  I asked about a picture, and one of the ladies was so kind and grabbed my camera walked right up to the stars.  Took a bunch of great pictures!  Then they asked if Maymay would like to meet them!!  WHAT??  I said, um...yeah!   So they gathered around me and told me to meet them at the Four Seasons Hotel.  Of course I had NO idea where to go, so they all gave me directions!!  So, I grabbed Maymay and we headed out to meet them at the hotel. (I cannot get over how kind and wonderful they all were.  Seriously, the nicest people I've ever met at any screening.  EVER.)

Well, it was raining.  It was dark.  I had NO idea how to get to the hotel.  It took me far too long and I assumed I just messed this opportunity up. grrr.  So we get there and as we are walking up I see the group inside.  I wave, they SMILED and called out to us!  Maymay was ecstatic   She was welcomed in like she was the celebrity and she...she...giggled.  Yup.  My girlie giggled.  It was perfect.  We had a wonderful meet and greet.  Everyone was considerate, friendly and very relaxed.  Maymay got "flappy happy" that Josh shook Berry's paw and they all made her feel special.

I was beyond the happy momma as we left and walked out to my car.  It didn't even bother me that the hotel bellmen made fun of my car...RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.  geez.  I was listening to my girlie in her happy babble and then realized....I somehow got lost.  Again.   I managed to figure it out and got us home.  An hour later.

sigh.....

Anyway, it was a great night and I couldn't brag about the kindness and compassion we were shown anymore than I already have.  My heart is full.
