Based on the True story of Journalist Gary Webb. The film takes place in the mid 1990s, when Webb uncovered the CIA's past role in importing huge amounts of cocaine into the U.S. that was aggressively sold in ghettos across the Country to raise money for the Nicaraguan Contras rebel army. Despite enormous pressure not to, Webb chose to pursue the story and went public with his evidence, publishing the series "Dark Alliance". As a result he experienced a vicious smear campaign fueled by the CIA. At that point Webb found himself defending his integrity, his family, and his life.

I liked the movie. The story was told very well. Gary Webb was a man making money as a journalist. When he finally gets the biggest story ever his life starts to change in a major way. The CIA are not happy about the story so they threaten his family, job and life. He just wanted to write a story bigger than a dog saving someone's life or something like that. I liked how all the kids never fought with each other and how he would mess around with them. I liked Jeremy Renner. He is a good actor and played his character well.  I didn't like his wife as much but I like the actress' last name DeWitt. He was really crazy to punch in a car window but he was really angry in that scene. Its really sad that the CIA killed him over a story he was writing. They shot him twice in the head.

Review: Left Behind

A man's wife and son vanish along with millions of others. While the world reels from the cataclysmic event, the man bands with others who have been "left behind" to discover who or what is responsible for the disappearances.

This movie felt a little similar to the movie This is the End.  It's based on Judgement Day in the bible. The good people disappear and the others stay on Earth. Although I gotta say This is the End was funny. This was not the best movie but it wasn't the worst.  I liked Raymie ,Chloe, and Buck.  Raymie was a cute little boy and I liked that he was so excited that his sister came home from college. He also has a cool ,and weird name. I liked Buck because how helpful he was. I don't know how well  I would be able to handle this if it actually happened. I would probably be as scared as all the people were. I felt bad for Chloe. It was a bad day for her. It was her terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. I have a feeling that in the next one it's going to get worse.

Review: Hector and the Search for Happiness

Hector (Simon Pegg) is a quirky psychiatrist who has become increasingly tired of his humdrum life. As he tells his girlfriend, Clara (Rosamund Pike), he feels like a fraud: he hasn't really tasted life, and yet he's offering advice to patients who are just not getting any happier. So Hector decides to break out of his deluded and routine driven life. Armed with buckets of courage and child-like curiosity, he embarks on a global quest in hopes of uncovering the elusive secret formula for true happiness. And so begins a larger than life adventure with riotously funny results.

This was a cute movie I liked it. I liked it when Hector was helping that lady on the plane. He went on one big crazy adventure to find happiness even though it was right in front of him. I felt bad about when he got captured . I liked the little rat friend he had. I also thought it was funny  when he turned the plane upside down in the beginning until the dog fell. It looks like fun to travel the world. I liked Edward but I also like the actor who plays him. I liked Stellan Skarsgard since Thor and The Avengers. I liked that him and Hector became friends. I think Hector in the beginning definately changed the way he acted by the end of the movie. The movie is definately a good movie to see.

Review: Walk Among the Tombstones

Formerly a detective with the NYPD, now a recovering alcoholic haunted by regrets, Matt Scudder has a lot to make up for. When a series of kidnappings targeting the city's worst drug criminals escalates to grisly murder, the circuit's ruthless leader convinces Scudder to find the culprits and bring them to bloody justice. Working as an unlicensed private detective, Matt sees what the police don't see and treads where they most fear to. Operating just outside the law to track down the monsters responsible, Scudder stops just short of becoming one himself.

This movie was good but kind of predictable and too much like a CSI show mixed with Taken. They really could have just made it Taken 3. There were no explosions, nothing went BOOM!! at all. I thought  TJ was gonna die. I also thought Ray was gonna come back to life too. There was a lot of shooting and people disappearing. There was just so much you could really pick out what was going to happen and very little that  was unseen. I liked Tj and Matt. They were my favorites. Tj may have been brave but he did stupid things. Liam Neeson is good at kicking butt and doing action movies. I still would have liked it better if  he had exploded something.  I really wish they added more to the movie. I don't know what just more.

Review: This is Where I Leave You

When their father passes away, four grown siblings are forced to return to their childhood home and live under the same roof together for a week, along with their over-sharing mother and an assortment of spouses, exes and might-have-beens.

This movie was so funny the whole theater was laughing most of the time. There were sad parts too, but mostly funny. My favorite character was Cole. Him and the baby toilet were really funny! I did feel really bad for Horry. His life will never be the same and it's sad. I liked him very much. I disliked Wade and Quinn because they hurt Judd. Judd is a nice guy that had his life get complicated and messy. I liked the way he handled things. I also liked Wendy because she was a tough chick. She was cool. Tina Fey was really good as Wendy. She is funny and made me wish I knew her. Overall the movie is funny and I would see it again if I felt like watching a comedy.
