This movie was so good. This is the best live action movie that Disney has ever done. It was perfect. There were little changes, but it didn't matter. My favorite was the Be Our Guest scene. The entire scene is breathtaking and made me very happy. It was awesome and the waltz was beautiful. The outfits were on point and the casting couldn't have been better. I want to see this again so bad! Yes, it was that good. Chip was just adorable. I need to get my own Chip teacup immediately. Every single person was exactly how I pictured the characters. Gaston was very Gaston-like. Super high ego and completely full of himself. Though he shouldn't really treat the woman he wants to marry or her father so terrible. Lefou was definitely the crazy, clingy guy he should be. He was fun and Josh Gad played him perfectly. Plumette was very different because she's not originally shaped like a peacock, but I liked her better than the original. I personally preferred the beast over the prince. I just don't think Prince Adam is that cute, and the beast had the sweetest eyes and facial expressions. I want to be friends with him.
The controversy about there being a gay scene confuses me because whatever it was, it was no big deal. Nothing happened that was worth people making a big deal about it. I don't understand. I really disliked the way the townspeople treated Belle, except the librarian. He seems to be the only nice person. So what if she reads books? Have they ever picked up a book? I know the story of Beauty and the Beast. I know she is supposed to be treated badly. I just don't like it. No one should be bullied or made to feel bad about who they are.
Belle literally was the perfect Disney princess for Emma Watson and I'm glad she waited for this. Disney nailed this movie and not one thing would have made it better. Although, I did miss that Gaston wasn't thrown into the mud. I like that part in the cartoon. He deserves it. I also loved the songs. They were excellent and I wished I could've sang along with them. Beast also gets a song and it's just so sweet. My favorite character from the castle was definitely Lumiere. He was designed beautifully, as were the other characters, but he nailed the dining room scene. It made me want to jump up and clap. Go see this movie people. It'll be worth it. I'm not sure they can out do this movie. Even the credits are beautiful.
