I liked this movie. Especially the Roman theme. I really liked Morgan Freeman. I don't think he's ever had a bad character. His God is my favorite though. There was a lot of fighting and a lot of horses. It does kind of stink that his brother betrayed him. It was interesting that they added the crucifixion of Jesus into the story. Although out of all the things to do why have a chariot race? Why couldn't they all just apologize or something? I think it is very unfair that he was accused of something he didn't do. Especially by his own brother/best friend. That's just mean and wrong. They should have asked who did it first before assuming. It makes me wonder if this is how everything happened back then. No trials, just accusing people of anything even if they didn't do it. I have to admit they had a strange taste in entertainment back then. Watching people die or get injured does not sound very entertaining at all. I just don't find people getting hurt funny or entertaining. It just seems cruel to laugh at stuff like that. I liked how Morgan Freeman's character gave him the courage/idea to stand up to his brother. Revenge was a bad idea though. It's never the answer. I still amazes me how quickly people can go from being best friends to enemies. It definitely stuck to Roman history stuff.
