This movie was so good. I thought it was cool how he was able to get two men released in exchange for one man. I also thought it was cool that when he was to help 1,000 men he managed to help 9,000. That is one good lawyer. What confused me though is that Abel's family didn't seem at all happy that he was coming home. It was really weird and seemed so fake. I didn't like that his family got shot at and the cop was being rude to him like that. He was just doing his job and defending the person who asked for his help. I thought it was really sweet that Abel painted him a picture to say thank you. It seemed like Abel thought of him as a friend and I liked that. I also liked that Donovan was worried about Abel. I wonder if they ever became friends after this happened. How did they even figure out he was a spy? All he was doing was painting pictures. In what way did that say "Hey I'm a spy?" I really liked Tom Hanks as Donovan. He looks and sounds like he could be a real lawyer. I didn't like how they made it seem like we treat people fairly but other countries torture people. It doesn't seem fair.
