An Irish immigrant lands in 1950s Brooklyn, where she quickly falls into a romance with a local. When her past catches up with her, however, she must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.

It was a cute movie. I felt bad that she had to leave her family behind in Ireland and go to America. I did like that she lived with nice people. It was good that she had some friends. I also liked that someone helped her when she was on the boat. That was really sweet. I also really liked her boss. She was really nice and gave her a break when she knew she wasn't doing well and giving her tips. I like those kind of people. I like that she found happiness in a new country. Especially that if she had stayed and lost her sister how miserable she would have been. I do like that she visited her family and that on her way back she was helping a girl who was going to America for the first time. I like that between two choices she went back to her husband in America. I thought she would write to him and say she was staying with her family a little longer. I can't believe she could actually make a choice between the two. It was a difficult one. She had to pick between her mother and best friend and her husband. She should of had her mother g back with her though.
