Will Smith stars in Concussion, a dramatic thriller based on the incredible true David vs. Goliath story of American immigrant Dr. Bennet Omalu, the brilliant forensic neuropathologist who made the first discovery of CTE, a football-related brain trauma, in a pro player and fought for the truth to be known. Omalu's emotional quest puts him at dangerous odds with one of the most powerful institutions in the world. ![]() This movie was so good. Will Smith is so getting nominated for something for this movie. What bugs me the most is to find out that the NFL took so long to look into football brain damage from repeated concussions. They called this man a liar and and fraud and found many ways to make him look like a fool. They even tried denying the fact that this was actually happening. I liked that he never gave up to prove that football players need more safety. You can't just send a person with a concussion back on to the field because it's so bad for their health. I also liked that his wife was there to support him the whole time since they first met. She helped him keep going even though he wanted to give up. I can't believe the NFL would overlook something so important and so dangerous. They should have listened to Dr. Bennet from the beginning. This and hockey and I'm sure a few other sports should never overlook something like this. They should be more worried about the players. This movie really does need an award. It was fantastic. 5 stars
