Based on a true story. A team of African-American women provide NASA with important mathematical data needed to launch the program's first successful space missions.

I thought this movie was really good. I think it was cool to see what happens in NASA to be able to launch and land the shuttle. Three women were able to figure it all out. In a time of segregation they actually managed to do that. Katherine even got the bathrooms integrated. I felt bad that she had to run so far just to find one. It was a hard time for them and they managed to do the impossible. People were treating them badly and they stuck through it to achieve their goals. I'm impressed that Katherine decided to try to figure out the missing information they wouldn't give her just to get the results they needed. That was sneaky but she probably really did need that info. I am confused about why they would put the info there if they didn't want her to read it. They had her doing all the math they should have given her all the info to work with. I really liked that after they sent Katherine back to the computers Glenn wouldn't go into space without her calculations. He demanded she do the math or he wouldn't go. I thought it was even funnier that later when he went up with Neil Armstrong she was the one to do the math then too. I bet she did the math for all of his space adventures. I loved that they showed the real pictures of them at the end. That was really cool. Mary even had to fight the court to go to an all white school so she could get more training for NASA. I think it's cool that she won. I'm even happier that they succeeded getting a man to space. Katherine was a genius and helped get a man into space. She and her friends must have felt good when that happened.
