A five-year-old Indian boy gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia; 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

This movie was so good but so sad. I actually cried. Saroo had gotten lost and ended up in Calcutta. The things he saw and the stuff that happened must have scared him. He was only five. I find it even sadder that his brother had been hit by a train that same night. I love that a family adopted him though. They seem like good people. He had been lost for 25 years. I don't now if I could wait that long to look for my family. He spent so much time looking and trying so hard to find them. i'm really happy he did though. I found it really sad that he went home to find out his brother Guddu was dead but I was really happy he found his mom and his sister and his other brother Kallu. If you go to see this movie bring tissues because you will cry. I think it is a little funny that not only had he been mispronouncing his home town but his name. His name his Sheru meaning Lion which I think he may be one. Strong, brave, determined, smart and courage. He saw street kids get kidnapped and he almost got kidnapped himself. He as brave enough to  try and find home all by himself. I think he got a good life from it all along with a good family who raised him. My favorite thing was that after he found his family he called his adoptive parents. The message was so sweet. This movie will be worth seeing. You will enjoy this. I was kind of scared that they weren't going to be there when he found them.
