After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.

I normally love Disney movies but this was not my favorite. A lot of it didn't feel right to me. Timon wasn't as crazy as he's supposed to be and neither were the Hyenas. Pumba didn't feel like Pumba either. I really wasn't a fan of Beyonce as Nala. I think Rihanna would have been better or just get the original actors. I didn't think Scar looked like Scar either. He's supposed to be darker than Mufasa skin tone wise and his mane is supposed to be black. Also Zazu had very little blue on him to be a Hornbill. I felt "Be Prepared" wasn't where it should have been. It needs the green smoke and that devious look to it to show that it's a song of evil plans and such. I personally wouldn't waste money on this. If you plan on seeing it wait for streaming because I personally feel like it didn't reach it's potential. There is a lot that could have been done better though I did like the opening song. I still think Beauty and the Beast is their best live action musical so far and they still have a lot to live up to while making the others. Also what is the point of Mufasa being a king if he can't stop a stampede with a roar to save his kid. I'm sure there was a better way to do it that going into the ravine in the middle of a stampede. Also does no one question Scar going on a walk with the cub and not coming back with one or his brother? That seems very out of place. Especially for Sarabi who is the mother of Simba.
