I loved this movie. It is very much what you'd expect from Mary Poppins. Very color and entertaining with very well written music. Emily Blunt was the perfect Mary Ppoppins. I don't understand why the bank wanted Michael's house so bad though. They never explained it. Also how was the captain still alive he was shooting cannons since Jane and Michael were kids. It's like he never aged at all. I do like that they didn't use the chimney sweeps again but I don't remember any kid named Jack in the original movie waving up to Jane. It's definately a movie worth seeing especially with Meryl Streep in it. Turning Turtle is one of my favorite songs of the film along with "Trip A Little Light Fantastic""Lovely London Sky" and "Can You Imagine That". I love the lamp lighters' dance scene with the lamp posts as they make their wy home. It was just so much fun and worth watching more than once. Though I am very confused how she is the only one with magic in this world. Also if this theoretically had taken place in J.K Rowling's Harry Potter World wouldn't she be in trouble for using magic in front of muggles for both movies? She's just going around to people's homes and doing all this stuff that no one can actually do and gets away with it because she's a nanny? I'd still want her around just because it's all really cool. Mary Poppins is definitely one of the coolest nannies ever.
