Travis and Gabby first meet as neighbors in a small coastal town and wind up in a relationship that is tested by life's most defining events.

The movie was cute and not like the others Nicholas Sparks wrote. It was different. It was still a love story but they didn't fall in love right away. Gabby actually denied Travis many times before she admitted she loved him. It was funny watching him try so hard. It seemed more realistic to happen in life unlike all the other endings. No person falls in love with someone with in a week or a day.  It takes longer than that. Honestly I liked the twist in the story too. I mean her possibly dying wasn't good but the fact that it wasn't an immediate happy ending was cool. Life doesn't always have happy endings so it felt more real. Especially when it came to things like other boyfriends or girlfriends or accidents or that they just don't like you. It was a lot like how real life is. I really did like it though. I love Alexandra Daddario. Her character seemed more like real life too. She knew he loved Gabby and told him to go to her even though she wasn't ok with it. Although some people may not take that news well. The gazebo he built on the beach was pretty cool. He took a bunch of old wood stuff he found and made something new. The proposal didn't make sense to me though. Who proposes the way he did? He was not taking no for  an answer. I really thought is was adorable how he fought for her though. He just loved her so much.
