A lighthouse keeper and his wife living off the coast of Western Australia raise a baby they rescue from an adrift rowboat.

I sort of liked this movie. Some of it was cute and some of it was sad. I was confused on how they were able to get married after only knowing each other for one day. I do think living in a lighthouse would be cool. I get that she wanted a baby so badly but she didn't have to do what she did. Though the second part wasn't her fault. Her husband never told her about the birth mother. Still didn't give her the right to do that. It bugged me the most that the husband didn't report the baby anyway. It was a bad move from the beginning and they shouldn't keep a baby they knew wasn't theirs. Especially after discovering who the real mother was. Tom should have told Isabel as soon as he knew. To put everyone through that was mean. They had the child for four years. Do boats even use lighthouses anymore? Also how did the others not find it strange that after two baby deaths they have a baby early? Wouldn't someone have questioned it? Also how did they even know how old she was or when her birthday was? She came on a boat. She was already born. How would they know her real age? Did they just make one up? Also how did the birth mother not recognize her own child? Wouldn't she be able to see the similarities between the baby and her lost husband? Or between herself and the baby? A mother should know her own child. I thought it was good but very unrealistic to what would have happened. Lucy was my favorite. She was adorable. Also I think they could have worked something out to share the child instead of taking her.
