Based on the bestselling novel by master storyteller Nicholas Sparks, THE LONGEST RIDE centers on the star-crossed love affair between Luke, a former champion bull rider looking to make a comeback, and Sophia, a college student who is about to embark upon her dream job in New York City's art world. As conflicting paths and ideals test their relationship, Sophia and Luke make an unexpected and fateful connection with Ira, whose memories of his own decades-long romance with his beloved wife deeply inspire the young couple. Spanning generations and two intertwining love stories, THE LONGEST RIDE explores the challenges and infinite rewards of enduring love.

I thought this movie was really cute. My favorite characters were Sophia,Luke,Ira and Ruth. Ira was a sweet elderly man and I liked how he let Sophia read him the letters he wrote to Ruth. It was like a grandfather and grand daughter moment. I just really liked the bond that she had with Ira from hanging out with him. I like that his story was told along with Sophia and Luke's story. I can't believe bull riders will get thrown around like that, get seriously injured but go back to do it all over again. I'm not sure if it's brave or stupid but I do admit that Rodeos are fun to watch. I think Scott Eastwood was good for his role because he is good looking and he is a good actor. He played is character really well. He was a good cowboy. I liked all the art too. It made me feel happy. It was nicely done and colorful and so beautiful. I liked how there was so much of it.
