This movie was really good for a documentary on Fred Rogers. It showed how he started Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and how he was able to connect with the kids. He visited schools and did some live work and interacted with them. You also learn things about him that you never knew. I am curious about his obsession with those sweaters. He had so many of them. He was able to teach kids important things about life but by doing it in a fun way with trolleys and puppets. He even fought the government for funding. He'd play with kids and teens and connect with them all and then somehow bring that to the show. That must have been really hard. I really liked that they used footage from the old footage and had his friends and family talk about him. Everyone he worked with would play pranks on each other like one big family. It's also got some comedy to it. Though I warn you now that you might cry a little. Or a lot. I'm not usually into documentary type movies but I liked this. It really showed who he was and how he felt. I think this is a good movie to see and you'll be glad you saw it. It must have been hard to do a show for that long and stay connected with all those kids and adults.
