My entire gang went to this screening.  When we got there, people were in a state of frenzy. The kind of frenzy that is usually reserved for bees that just had their hive jostled by a hungry bear.  The press and film students were filing in and the natives were concerned that there wouldn't be enough seats for those of us with passes. (This is where I learned the importance of arriving EARLY to screenings!)  Turns out the screening DID fill up fast and many didn't get in to this show.  I was confused about why the large amount of press/student/reserved seats, and a fellow screener was kind enough to explain that the director, Duncan Jones, was going to do a Q&A after the movie.  SWEET!

The movie caught me by surprise.  It had so many twists and turns that I was a bit dizzy.  Maymay leaned over and whispered (loudly) that she knew "who done it" and loved this movie.  DQ and I shushed her and both looked confused at each other.  Turns out Maymay not only understood the movie, she figured out the ending in the first 10 minutes.  This movie has so much shoved inside of its action packed 93 minutes.  I liked the movie and it kept me guessing until the very end.  Speaking of the end, I loved it.  It was a bit of a stretch, but depending on what you believe, the message in the end was thought provoking.

The Q&A with Duncan Jones was awesome.  He answered everyones questions, even the dumb ones.  Turns out he was sitting in front of us and heard Maymay.  He stopped us as we were leaving and asked Maymay how she figured it out so fast.  I explained about her being autistic and he laughed and said she's the third kid on the spectrum that figured it out so fast.  (Of the people who had seen it during his screenings.)

Overall, we all loved the movie and once I learned that he used Autodesk software for the building scenes,  I became a huge fan!
