We're heading to the screening shortly. I'm assuming this one is going to be crazy, so I'm nervous. I'll update this post when we get there.
UPDATE:
We got to the screening very early and had some pretty terrific people around us in line. I'm convinced that most people who attend screenings are pretty awesome. (Thank you Christine for the popcorn flavoring Maymay LOVES it!)
Overall this screening was pretty organized, especially since it was very crowded and there were TWO theaters FULL of zombie loving people. I do have to address the young man that was with Allied-THA, who was so incredibly rude and outright mean to Maymay. Two of your colleagues were mortified and apologized to us, but you were oblivious to how much your ugliness hurt my daughter. There is NO reason to ever treat a special needs person like you did, and you should be ashamed.
Now, the good stuff. The movie was completely and totally bad-ass. I don't want to give anything away, but I will say it doesn't exactly follow the book. It is a very well written movie that completely captured my attention immediately and held it to the end. Matter of fact, I didn't want it to end.
Brad Pitt was perfectly cast as the loving husband and devoted family man who gets thrown into the very pit of zombie madness. His relationship and devotion to his family made me fall in love immediately and care about what happened to him, while managing to portray a thoughtful tough guy who I'd happily follow through a zombie war.
This is an amazing movie that I'd pay to see again in a heartbeat. The zombies were scary and properly disgusting. There were enough funny moments to break up the terror, which I'm happy to report meant no nightmares for me. Most of all, it was entirely entertaining movie. You should see it today....you need to know how to prepare yourself for the actual zombie apocalypse.

Yeah....Brad Pitt came to the screening. (I'll pause here so you can swoon.)
